PRK (Photorefractive Keratectomy)

LASIK

PRK  can correct near and farsightedness and astigmatism using the cool Excimer laser light to gently remove the top layer of corneal tissue. The laser is precisely computer guided and actually vaporizes the anterior layers of the cornea. The cornea is reshaped to your specific prescription. Like LASIK, mild numbing eye drops are used to ensure comfort. After surgery some eye sensitivity is typically present for about 24 to 48 hours. This procedure usually takes about fifteen (15) minutes to perform.
